Allyson Bennett is an American soprano studying under Jane Eaglen at
New England Conservatory pursuing a G.D. in Vocal Performance. She is a Boston-based classical vocalist with a passion for operatic and song repertoire.
In the 2022-23 season, Allyson will be featured as First Lady in Die Zauberflöte with New England Conservatory and covering Tosca in Tosca with Opera51. She has performed scenes as Nedda in Pagliacci and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni through New England Conservatory, and as Senta in Der fliegende Holländer with the Boston Wagner Institute.
Allyson will be making her Kennedy Center debut performing as a winner of the VSA International Musicians Award Program. She won First Place for Rising Talents of the Americas 2020 with GCC and was named Boston District Winner by the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in 2022 and 2023.
At New England Conservatory for the 2021-22 season, Allyson's operatic experience includes the role of Eva (An American Dream) and scenes as Tina (Flight) and Magda (La Rondine).
She has performed notable roles such as Madame Lidoine (Dialogues of the Carmelites), Mimì (La Bohème), and Valletto (L’incoronazione di Poppea). She recently premiered Flora Sun’s “難波津に (Naniwa-zu ni)”, appeared with NEC’s Wind Ensemble singing Dvořák’s Song to the Moon, performed Elena Firsova's The Birth of a Smile with trombone quartet and vibraphone, and produced a benefit recital to raise funds for the family of Breonna Taylor with Sparrow Live.
